Boarding Times and Pickups

The shared yacht guests report between 7:30 PM and 8:00, and board at 8:30 PM. Boarding time for the dhow cruise New Year party and mega yachts is from 9:00 to 10:00 PM. Hotel pick-ups for those cruises start around 7:00 PM. The open deck boat will arrive at 8:30 PM. Both the yacht and open deck boat depart on time, with no latecomers. Be punctual to get comfortable before you leave.

Dhow Cruise: A Table of Strangers

Dhow cruise is also a good option to celebrate Dubai New Year’s Eve for solo travellers. It will cost you around AED 800 on the lower deck. Moreover, it boards at Dubai Harbour and runs for three hours, from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM, past the Marina, JBR, Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab. Hotel transfers are included. Cancellation Dates to Note

The shared yacht New Year party in Dubai, dhow and mega yacht share one policy. Cancel before 1 December for a full refund. Between 1 and 20 December, you receive 50%. After 20 December, nothing is refunded. Requests must arrive in writing by email or WhatsApp. Check the dates before you pay. The Open Deck page lists its own terms, so confirm them first.

Lower Deck or Upper Deck

The upper deck of the dhow is open air, and the lower deck is air-conditioned. They’ll receive the same DJ, dinner and countdown. The price of tickets on the upper deck is AED 1250 higher than on the lower deck on the mega yacht. Based on comfort and budget.

Open Deck Boat: A Smaller Crowd

The Party at Open Deck Boat carries up to 90 guests, which keeps the deck compact. It costs AED 1,900 for three hours. The ticket covers an international buffet, unlimited premium beverages and a live DJ. Boarding is at Dubai Marina, and the exact spot is shared after booking.

Pack Light, Dress Right

Wear smart casual or party clothes. Choose flats or sandals, because decks can be slippery. Skip beachwear, flip-flops and sportswear. The wind picks up after dark, so bring a light jacket or shawl.

What to Carry, What to Leave

Getting There Without a Car

Metro and Tram Routes

Get on the Red Line and arrive at DMCC Station. This is followed by an 8–10 minute walk to Dubai Marina Yacht Club, where the mega yacht sails in. The tram stop is located at Jumeirah Lakes Towers, which is only seven minutes by tram. However, we recommend continuing to Dubai Harbour by taxi.

Parking if You Drive

Parking at Dubai Harbour is paid. Near the Marina, Dubai Marina Mall gives the first two to four hours free, then charges AED 20 an hour. Marina Walk street parking also costs AED 20 an hour. Arrive early on New Year’s Eve to secure a spot.

Road Closures and Metro Hours

Plan around the roads. Last year, the Metro and Tram ran nonstop for 43 hours, while closures around Downtown began at 4:00 PM and widened until 11:00 PM. The Roads and Transport Authority publishes the current timetable at rta.ae. Check it before you settle on a pick-up plan.

The Night Itself

Countdown Timeline

Guests gather on deck at 11:45 PM. The ten-second countdown starts at 11:59:50. At midnight, fireworks light up the sky over Atlantis, The Palm and Burj Al Arab, followed by cake cutting and celebrations. The whole deck counts down together. Cruising continues until 1:00 AM, or 2:00 AM on the mega yacht.

Getting Back After 1 AM

Guests who opt for transfers are dropped at their hotels between 1:30 and 2:30 AM on the shared yacht. The mega yacht and open deck boat drop-offs run from 2:00 to 2:30 AM. The team confirms pick-up times on the morning of 31 December. Without a transfer, line up a taxi before you board.
